Twenty Two and the lesson I learned

Whenever my boyfriend asked me about people I usually call everyone my friend. Calling someone an acquaintance required some thought and often I would have to correct myself. Tonight, or more technically last night, on my birthday I came to realize what the distinction between relationships such as friends and buddies really are.

A friend is someone you can connect with – over serious topics or discussions or to the most random words uttered together – and trust. What became apparent to me tonight was that buddies, although entertaining and fun to talk to, is never someone I turn to when I need someone I can rely on.

Two days left to 22

Its about that time of year again. The time where that lovely date rolls around to remind me of my ever increasing age. I recall last year my boyfriend and cousin were telling me about how awesome being twenty-one was compared to all other ages, even as they were leaving theirs behind.

Hairy pits

I noticed since I shaved a couple of days ago that my hairy pits have grown back. Cue the AHH EWWW AAHHH’s. The reason this is of such interest to me this time is because I am contemplating waxing. WAX-ING. As in the horribleness of tweezing times fifty because thats how much more hair is coming out at once. At least.
